D23 COLLECTION - TWIST IN MY SOBRIETY
Fall ‘23 sees a palate cleanser proposed for the Dundas woman. A return to elegance shifts the gear from recent collections. A fresh focus on longer silhouettes; sensual over sexual is expressed through a muted palette of black, olive green, crimson red and white, with touches of fuchsia pink and gunmetal, the gilded protagonist of the collection. Dresses are predominantly long with the body veiled rather than exposed. Transparent jersey, chiffon and stretch lace creates a sensual point of view whether solid or embellished. Lingerie inspired knitwear in ultralight transparent viscose veils the body. The dresses are paired with velvet tailoring in rich reds and black, slouchy, oversized suits and even maxi coats. The outerwear takes inspiration from biker jackets in distressed nappa or suede with heavy zippers almost creating a feeling of embellishment. The biker inspiration is further treated with Celtic-inspired tattoo motifs on black devoré velvet for slip dresses and long t-shirt shifts, some with open backs. Sportier military cargo shorts and jackets are proposed in ecru or black hammered satin. The sole print of the collection is a camouflage pattern recalling 1980’s graffiti inspired by Keith Haring. For night, these same motifs are echoed in rich embroideries but remain faithful to the clean shifts, twin sets in transparent bases all in olive or black stretch chiffon.
