D15 Lookbook

"Urban Jungle", the title for D15, reflects on society's newfound connection with nature and the outdoors. The paramilitary safari chic is the Dundas girl's reentry into 2021, always with an optimistic eye. The collection is not committed to a certain era, though the marked shoulders and accentuated waists take inspiration from Newton and Bourdin, and an element of sensual freedom from vintage Nova Magazine.

Safari jackets, capes and trousers, offered in crisp white cotton, sun-bleached khaki green, or animalier patterns are rich in pockets and eyelet detailing. They fit perfectly into the city environment as well as the outdoors, now the new normal. The same detailing is carried through to strong shouldered jumpsuits with sexy lace up fronts, little dresses and pencil skirts, also with panther patterned lacing, versatile for daytime promenades or after dark excursions. Matching flat caps and 70’s gold platform sandals with stud embellishment gives irreverence to the look.

A counterpoint to the feline patterns is a Dundas toile de jouy design and a new monogram pattern playing with the brands omnipresent cursive D.

Jersey, a sensual protagonist in the collection, signals the return of the Peter Dundas t-shirt dress. In both patterned and sunny yellow, it is 'embellished’ with strategic and daring lacings and chain finishing, staying true to the comfort ethos.

Nocturnal animals are treated to Broderie Anglaise on twin-set skirts and tops, kaftans and separates in saturated blue, black and ivory. Also, for night, featherlight jacquard lamé in gold or black are, as always, in a house designed pattern and adds glamour to the wardrobe.

Premiering alongside the Dundas girls is a new men’s capsule. It focuses on 24-hours ‘must have’ shirts and generously cut collarless tunics, slightly 70’s flavored, designed for a modern-day Jimmy Page or Eric Clapton. The monogram toile de jouy and the animalier patterns sit along studded denim and Broderie Anglaise in this focused capsule with black nappa sur-chemises also, with a rock and roll flair. They are presented with assorted scarves and flat caps.
